While the kids are off from school during the holidays you should consider putting them into a baseball camp. Well parents, here are some reasons your young athlete should attend a baseball camp!
1) Physical activity: We all can see the trends developing around us. Kids are less active than ever and fitness levels and overall health are suffering. A baseball camp is a great way for your kids to safely and actively participate in physical activity.
2) Personal development: Players will get a chance to interact with other players from different organizations to develop relationships both on and off the field. Also, at a well run camp your young athlete will also learn about things like accountability, leadership, work ethic - things that will not only help development as a baseball player but more importantly as a person.
3) Baseball skill development: A baseball camp is about baseball! Not about swimming trips in the afternoon or about non-baseball related outings. It is about becoming a more well-rounded baseball player! At great camps, players will learn about throwing/pitching, catching, hitting, feilding, as well as how to play a team game.
4) Fun: If players don't enjoy being a baseball player what's the point? Seek out camps with many fun, competitive, skill related activities that kids of all levels can enjoy. These activities will enourage having fun with a purpose and they should happen daily.
So baseball parents, talk to your young athlete today about attending a baseball camp in your area during the holdiays!
