Canadian Baseball - Not an Olympic Sport?

I've been watching the olympics the last couple of weeks and have really enjoyed them thus far. There have been a lot of great moments not just for Canadians but for anyone that truly loves competition and personal or team achievements.
However, with all the excitement around the games there is one thing I still can't get over, why is baseball not an Olympic sport?
Being a Canadian Baseball Fan this prompted me to do some digging and here are the main reasons that I could find;
1. There are no Major League players that can attend.
2. The IOC is comprised of mostly European influence where baseball is not a prominent sport.
3. Not enough countries play baseball.
Here is an article that expands on those 3 factors that I think you might find interesting.
