The Baseball Zone is excited to announce that it has a new partner in its business operations effective November 6th, 2015.

Mike and Nicole Tevlin will be partnering with current Baseball Zone owner Rick Johnston in ushering in the next era of a business that has historically had tremendous success in developing baseball and softball players of all ages and playing levels. The elite, indoor baseball training complex fosters an understanding and love for the game like no other and employs the very best training philosophies, equipment and staff to fully assist athletes to reach their goals.

“Partnering with RJ in this business is thrilling for us”, says Mike. “His experience in the field of baseball training is unsurpassed and we think by working together we can help take The Zone to even greater heights.”

The Tevlins have a passion for sports and have been very involved with both of their sons playing baseball from a young age, through the programs at The Baseball Zone, right up to their commitment to NCAA Division 1 colleges.

The Baseball Zone is led by Ryan Armstrong (Army), Karl Cunningham, Kevin Hussey, and Courtney Plewes (SST Mississauga), as well as an enthusiastic staff including Mike Bannon, Alex Hawley, John Milton and Wes O’Neill. Former staff members include Dustin Saracini and Steve Soukas. All of these individuals have a great perspective when it comes to mentoring young baseball players. “To see kids of all ages training hard and having fun at the sport they love is fantastic” says Nicole.

The business will miss departing co-founder Mike McCarthy, whose diligence and hard work helped create Canada's leading baseball training facility over the last twelve years. Mike spearheaded the overall business side of the operations, which in great part accounted for the growth of The Baseball Zone. He was also instrumental in aligning strength and conditioning with sports performance by adding SST to the mix.

Johnston’s enthusiasm for the game is as infectious as ever “Baseball is on fire right now in our country and these are exciting times. It's certainly been a great ride so far and wait till you see what we have in store for the future!”
